The start of a new year is a good time to reflect on the previous year. It’s a set date that signifies the start of something new. I do think, however, that if we, as conscious beings, took time to reflect at other ties throughout the year, humanity as a whole may benefit greatly. I’ll take what I can get though.
This year will see the end of my weight loss journey for sure. I have lost over 140 pounds and have, at most, 10 more pounds to go. Once I reach my healthy goals I will then enter into the maintenance stage of the program where I can start to experiment with different foods. Definitely looking forward to a little variety.
My wife and I are having serious conversation about starting a podcast and vlog. I feel like it’s a crowded market but I think authenticity, honesty and fun can go a long way in helping us to establish a listener base. We’ve already obtained some of the equipment, now it’s just putting it to use.
The 9-5 grind is weighing heavily on me lately. I listen to podcast and read books about lifestyle design – I’m talking about you Tim Ferriss – and feel like I can’t get it out of my head, the idea that I want to make my own hours, choose what I do and when I do it. I have the urge and the passion to create something but I think I lack the creativity to do it, to get started, to put pen to paper.
I’ve been listening to Tim Ferriss’s most recent conversation with Matt Mullenweg and am beyond inspired – Happy Birthday Matt! Their conversations always get me fired up and motivated to do something, anything really. Maybe 2024 will be the year I start my book, or begin writing and recording songs again.
The possibilities really are endless as I stare at this blank page of a new year. Hopefully I can create something amazing with it!
